Ashley Barker

A camera at 15.
A career that followed.

Ashley Barker grew up in Canada with two brothers and free flights — the kind of childhood that teaches you early that the world is bigger than your backyard. Entrepreneurship came even earlier: a babysitting club at 11, shifts at Earls at 14. But at 15, something clicked. She bought her first camera, and by the end of that summer, her neighbour was published in the local paper.

That was the beginning. Twenty-five years later, the kid with the camera has lived on four continents, shot over 20 magazine covers, produced live events for Travis Scott, and creative directed campaigns for Nike. She's swum at Pipeline when it was running six feet in Hawaii — shooting the whole time — and hung out of helicopters over the Alaskan backcountry with snowboarding legend Travis Rice.

She's sat beside Jay Leno. She's lived with the Mandelas in Africa. She's done a lot of things most people only read about.

But ask Ashley what she's most proud of, and the answer isn't a magazine cover or a client name. It's putting the right people in the same room and watching something great come out of it. That instinct — equal parts hustle, taste, and genuine love for people — is what Welcome The Agency is built on.

When she's not shooting or building something, you'll find Ashley on a soccer pitch, surfing somewhere warm & remote, behind a drum kit she's still figuring out, or deep in a music rabbit hole. She's Canadian through and through — though Brooklyn has had her long enough to claim a piece.

She believes the best creative work comes from genuine curiosity about people, places, and ideas.
